HC-RS-04 is the low-profile member of the family, 39 mm or 45 mm high rather than the 47–51 mm of the larger markers, which keeps the stud closer to the road surface. The outer diameter is D123 mm and the unit weighs 610 g.
The marker takes a monocrystalline 2.5V/180 mA panel and a 1.2V/800 mAh Ni-MH battery, and can be specified with six or eight ultra-bright LEDs. A full charge gives about 80 hours of steady light or about 150 hours of flashing at 120 flashes per minute. The core is rated IP68 and the published static compression figure is about 55 t, with the inner assembly held by six stainless steel screws.
